“ It’s All About the Benjamin’s Baby!”
Did
you expect a different outcome? If you bet against Floyd “Money”
Mayweather, your pockets are significantly lighter today. Mayweather
dominated the 12 round fight against Saul “Canelo” Alvarez,
winning by majority decision. Mayweather fought a defensive gem.
Canelo threw 526 punches landing only 117 which is equivalent to 22
percent accuracy. While Floyd threw 505 punches landing a remarkable
232, which is 46 percent accuracy.
The
pound for pound king, reminded us all on Saturday night, what
greatness looks like. Greatness stands at 5 feet 8 inches and weighs
in at 150 pounds even. At the ripe old age of 36, “Money” looked
better than ever. Saul “Canelo” Alvarez relinquished his
undefeated record along with the WBC and Ring Light Middleweight
titles. Mayweather retained his WBA Light Middleweight title, and his
unblemished perfect record of 45-0. Although the pay-per-view numbers
are not available yet, this fight might have broken the all time
record of 2.44 million which Mayweather set in 2007.
All
the Floyd Mayweather haters need to stop and appreciate greatness.
How many athletes do you know who can talk the talk and walk the
walk? You may not like his attitude or persona but, you can’t deny
his technical boxing skills. No boxer can beat Floyd Money
Mayweather, only father time, who is also undefeated.
